Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association had made a representation to Central Pollution Control Board vide its letter dated 3rd March 2014 to exempt the wind energy projects from the purview of concerned amendment under Water and Air respectively and not bring the wind energy projects under red or green category.
Central Pollution Control Board vide its letter dated 3rd June 2014 has categorized the Wind powers Projects of all capacities as Green Category. Wind Power Industry Thanks the Ministry of Environments and Forests, Govt. of India, Central Pollution Control Board and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy for the green categorization of the wind projects.
